British General Declares Allies Cannot Hold…PREDICTS HOLY ‘ WAR BY TURKS  Constantinople
 
 The allies must leave Constantinople at the first sign of a Turkish advance or be prepared to have a holy war on their hands. In the opinion of Sir Charles Townsnend, who during the world war was captured with his troops by the Turks at Kut.
 
 “The first sign of a KemalIst advance on the capital will bring all Islam under the Turkish flag and the result would be a holy war which neither Great Britain nor France cares to face. Kemal Is said to be prepared to insure the freedom of the straits under a neutral governor. We can’t make Constsntinople into a Gibraltar.” Gen. Townshend said.
